Established in 1996 by Karen Hawes, Pivotal Pictures is committed to telling controversial, thought provoking, and entertaining stories.

Karen is a 20 year veteran of the film and television industry, having honed her skills working as an in house Producer for some of the best and biggest companies in town. Proud to have contributed to many critically recognized and award winning shows such as The Great Polar Bear Adventure, Souvenir of Canada, The Four Seasons Mosaic, 5 Seekers and Punched Up.

Inspired by these films and series which have pushed the boundaries of story telling and opened up new genres Karen is combining her passion for good stories with the art of production and engaging in creating multi-platform entertainment. Pivotal Pictures is developing web based programming and branded content to diversify and meet the demands of our rapidly changing marketplace.
